MacGyvertech is a free resource for computer technicians and Information Technologists to pool their collective knowledge and experience and collaborate on solutions to technology problems. Whether you are a tech enthusiast, hobbyist or pro, MacGyvertech can help you find what you need to get the job done.
MacGyvertech consists of four separate sections. First, we have the main web site, a jump point or launching pad with the lastest news and information related to the overall site itself. Within this portal are connections to the varies departments: The Media Center, with its collection of multimedia sources such as technical audio and video casts as well as technical books and documents; the TechiWiki, an open wiki knowledgebase with contributions from techs everywhere; and the MacGyvertech Forum Community, where techs collaborate and assist each other in technical related issues. While the concept itself is broad, the vision of MacGyvertech is simple - to provide technicians everywhere with knowledge and resources to be a Macgyvertech - or just look like one. Are you a MacGyvertech? You can be. Register and become a part of the MacGyvertech Community today! MacGyvertech, for the tech who does everything. |

MacGyvertech is not just building a web site. The goal is to build a community of techs from around the world with the combined knowledge, experience and ideas to solve any tech related issue - from the simple to the complex. MacGuyvertechs are not just techs. They are innovators, utilizing common knowledge and tools to perform difficult or seemingly impossible tasks. While the vast and ever growing storehouse of human knowledge makes specialization almost a requirement and general expertise a daunting prospect, there are situations where any tech will need to learn a little something new and outside their immediate area of expertise. At some point every technician needs a database of knowledge; in a world of Information Overflow we simply cannot keep it all in our heads. Sometimes we need to be a MacGyvertech - or find one. Well, here it is.
