Membership to MacGyvertech is not exclusive and quite inclusive. It's exciting and educational. Its ice cream and rainb-- uh, well, no, not that. We're not based in Scotland either, although some of our members could be. However, it is fast and easy. Best of all, it's free, and you can't beat free. There are are few requirements, however, as outlined below. Please read them first before joining. If you only want to join the forums or the wiki or the forums and the wiki and don't want to register on the main site, that's okay. You are not obligated to register for everything MacGyvertech. However, you could miss out on a few things if you don't. As we add new features, some may be available to the members only. If you never register, you'll never know. Below are the details and requirements of membership:
I registered on the main site but I can't login to the forums or wiki. Why? Do I have to register for every section? Who can join MacGyvertech? Why should I join? Why not? After all, it's free. It's not like we're asking you for money, athough we'll gladly accept any donations, monetary or otherwise. It's an opportunity to build a community, interact with and learn from others and can be an opportunity to showcase your talents and impress everyone with your skills as a tech. Who can pass up a golden opportunity like this? We can't. So there you go.
I registered on the main site but I can't login to the forums or wiki. Why? The MacGyvertech web site is roughly divided into several areas - the Main Portal, the Media Center, the Forums and the TechiWiki. Due to the various applications used to operate the overall site, these areas are currently not bridged - in other words, they are not interconnected with each other. We hope to be able to do this in the future but for now they are all separate entities and will require separate registration. We apologize for the inconvenience. Do I have to register for every section? No. If you only want to contribute to one area of the site and not the others you can register for that area only. For instance, if you want to post in the forums but you only want to read the articles on the main site and not contribute or comment there you can certainly do so. There is no obligation to register for every area of MacGyvertech, athough you may benefit from doing so.
How do I join MacGyvertech?Simple. You can register for the main site on the home page or here. You can register for the forums here. You can join the TechiWiki project here. |
